Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
I had started this painting >but because of a soccer match, I had to end it far from finished. Now I finally can use these emoticons 🤯 😬 , haha but that's surely how it felt.
Here's where I put the full painting in the freezer to be able to finish the painting the next morning with none of the areas dry!
Because working how I do, I need to have the paint stay wet until it's finished, 'alla prima'.
It worked wonders. Glad there WAS a sun the next morning and glad the young naughty cows were there as well.
Fun fact: I knew once they were fed they wouldn't be walking around anymore. That helped me hurry.
Yay for finishing. There's nothing more bothering the mind as having a good start without an ending. Best is to finish in 1 day, and if you have to: try to finish the next day right after. A week wouldn't benefit you. Test it out.
LSU07-2018 Landscape Plein air Painting 'Young Cows in Morning Light'
Roos Schuring, oil on canvas, 24 × 30 cm | 9.6″ x 11.8″ Sold / Find Landscapes for Sale here:
Day 2 - Day 1 gave me the composition, grassland, sun - here I just needed to catch the cows when passing by, standing in this morning light!
Naughty young cows: never stay, walk fast and seem to avoid painters :) This is looking to my left.
Warm colors for the morning!
