Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
I did not always love to paint the landscape with windmills, but it grew on me. Probably with age :)
Perhaps the more you travel, the more you'll love your home, and the older you get, the more you can realize being home is really enough, giving you enough to work with.
It's so important to paint what you love. Of course, it's great to sometimes do a commissioned based painting, but you'll become a better painter when you paint what you love and when you can sell this as well (or learn how to sell it so you can make a living of art). That's real freedom as an artist.
(Living from your art) It doesn't come free, often you'll need to fight for it, invest a lot of time in learning how to make it work for you. But yes, everything worthwhile needs your dedication.
LSP14-2015 Landscape Plein air Painting 'Home Again 5.30 AM'
Roos Schuring, oil on canvas, 24 x 30 cm | 9.6" x 11.8" Sold / Find Landscapes for Sale here:
After getting back from California, the next day we stood here overlooking the great Dutch open fields, a magical sunrise and this time the windmill so close.
An excellent view. I'll have to wait for better timing to be able to paint here again.
5 O' clock is just too early!
