Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
This painting was first lost. I had placed one dog in the center. All fine. With a ball & shadow.
Often, placing one figure or one item in the total center, it can really mess up the full painting. You can see that:
I had taken it home, but felt it needed a second chance, took it back to the beach the next day and waited for the same circumstances.
It was a similar blue day, and when I saw a horse carriage coming I knew how to save the painting. A day and night difference and the painting was salvaged :)
And as a PS. I probably couldn't save the painting 'at home' whether from memory or from a photo. It did help taking it outdoors again.
And when you 'fix' these 'almost right' paintings you must 'be free enough' to do it right: it helps to remind yourself: The painting is already lost. So, there's nothing to lose! Just try to make it better, and if it doesn't happen, just trash it. That's my 2 cents on that! : )
