Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
The countryside is quiet. I love that aspect. Sure, traffic, farmers mowing seemingly every day, all day : ) but it’s quiet, almost no 'passbyers'. Compared to creating seascapes: those peeps strolling one can often do without ; )
No offence. It’s just better for the concentration overall.
Here a sunny view. The ditch and water reflection intense blue. Great when there are waterlilies.
I filmed these sessions and will make a few of them into vlogs.
In the vlogs about painting cows you’ll see that I often create shapes of cows that will be replaced with new shapes. This is such a topic/subject that you’ll have to dive in before knowing how to swim.
Before you know how the painting will exactly turn out, one has to ‘try shapes’ ‘try compositions’ almost randomly. A few will be good. A few of those shapes can stay and can become the backbone of the painting.
Focus on Light & Dark.
A 3-D shape = parts in light, parts in shade.

With boots on and off: standing with just socks on is great too. (Barefeet is prob better, but when standing still one must beware of ticks still.)
