Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
Sometimes all parts work together like magic and you can really capture a sunlit morning view, with those bright variations in color.
See how you can play with shapes and let these pull the viewer into the perspective versus letting yourself get ‘bogged down’ by the ‘complexity’ of shapes of water and sand.
Nobody needs to exactly match the pattern that is in front of you. Because that ‘real’ pattern will be gone anyway. What remains is your painting. Just focus on the essence.
To find this essence, ask yourself for example: looking at the color for the water (in the puddle area): “How does the value change from near to far?” “How do sand parts change from near to far, in color, hue, lightness, details, edges?”

High tide, low tide, I move the easel frequently up or down the waterline to try to 'see the same' for a longer period of time.
And palette
This looks even like an organized color palette! haha.
