Shoreline Colors Summer

Saturated pastel 'greys'.

Yes, a beautiful scene, a beautiful painting.
Here I try to integrate saturation and 'pastels' (light colors) to create color contrasts that 'feel far away' and yet don't turn out grey.
Because very often, once indoors, all 'far away' colors that looked great outdoors, turn greyer looking at it indoors. So you'll have to do more with saturation. And with optical mixing via color contrasts, like the impressionists showed.

For me this is always experimentation, the paintings are always an experiment.

It's softer looking at it eye to eye, but here's what I'm talking about, close:

Good for us we're always developing (forward) whether you can reap an actual painting result or not, time invested in dedicated practice will ALWAYS deliver.
Because you are building your mental library or experiences from which you always pull while painting. Yes, subconsciously mostly.

I do move the easel with the tide to keep to see the 'same view'.
I like to stand in the shallow water to get that 'best view'. Cleaning up I do standing on the sand, less chaos that way.
