Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
The day started sunny, and when you see large mist clouds forming you must be in a complete rush to finish the painting, because you know all sunniness will be gone in 40 min. or less!
We call it 'Sea flame' here. A sudden change from a blue sky and sunny to total overcast and cold.
I could finish shortly after the fog had covered all of the sunlight. It this happens in Spring or Summer most bathers are quick to run away, often it just takes a few hours, the sun will come out from under it. But it does get cold!

Beginning of the day
To this:
The fog wasn't only covering the sun but the complete view! You couldn't see the ocean, dunes, anything anymore.
You know I say painting in grey weather is just fine, well, fog is a different thing. It might work with passing figures, cliffs and rocks. But flat beaches then do get a bit boring :)
