Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
Having the blue days replaced by stormy days, the sunbathers might be sad, but for the painter, it's a welcome change.
With the easel up high - above the blowing sand - and not being fearful to catch some rain during the session, it's just awesome.
SSU12-2019 Seascape Plein air Painting 'Kite - Light - Shade - Storm'

The light on the ocean was the main reason to paint this view, but in this case, the figures make this painting. ↪ A strong foreground can help a painting a lot.
↪ You can start with the foreground, or place it in at 1/3 into the painting. ↪ Never wait until the end.
↪ Sometimes there's 'nothing there' or no foreground. That's very fine too. Then the painting will be more about sky & sea.
Maybe you then can fit smaller figures in, just to accentuate the light or perspective.
Your Seascapes will get that spark of life in, when you can paint them there: standing on the beach.
Even if you don't live near a beach, you can book a holiday to a place near the ocean and start painting there.
