Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
Then here is the last one with palm trees in, 'Palm Trees in Evening Light'.
The evening is such a great time to paint. Sometimes you'll get that golden-orange light, coloring every part of the painting differently, the sky and ocean, mountains, trees, sand and shadows.
I most often try to create 'optical mixes' of applied colors. This will mean, I start applying one color and 'on top' brushed into it I apply a second color.
↪ Practical: for example, you first apply an orange-pink, then on top you add a turquoise blue. Fully mixed these together make a 'grey', but keeping these 'marbled' or roughly added on top of each other, you'll keep parts of the two bright, making the eye connect the area, perceiving it 'bright' and colorful still. Here in the blog post the palette and scene pics also + color list.
I enjoyed painting there, though beauty is to be found most everywhere.
↪ It's good to experiment painting in the morning and evening to warm up the full palette.
