I could paint here more often. At first I missed a sandy beach and more waves rolling in, but this spot surely provided so much inspiration.
The stones in front, painting it I didn't exactly know how to go about doing it. Looking back upon the results, I was going in the right direction. Trying to paint 'a texture', not specifically 'each stone'. :)
Here you see how I tried to paint what you could see happening in the water in front of me. The dark purples being the seaweed, the light hitting the bottom under the water in spots, all kinds of different gradient shifts, and so on.

Of course, a photo is a photo, you can't see the vibration in the sky (or color effects in the water) which you can see with the naked eye, painting pleinair delivers.
