Accentuating Reddish Light
Summer and reds.
A wonderful sunny day, sometimes there's so much red in a scene.
Especially in Summer (or Spring/Autumn) when the day after it's going to rain.
You'll get sensitive to these weather signs when you're a committed outdoor painter!

The red t-shirt accentuates this pinkish light.
In fact, all red elements do and the pinkish clouds, reddish near sand too.
The actual painting has also more yellows of course. Otherwise the spectrum would go to 'magenta' too much.
I do also move with the tide. That's something I don't pay attention to. Is it going in or out? I often just know, when there is a part of shallow water, as shown in the painting, it won't stay long. It'll either dry out or get flooded again :)
So if it's part of your painting: hurry with that part always.
Once a year I'm doing the 'Mastering Summer Seascapes' Course in group format. This has had THE BEST reviews because feedback was included. Getting help, visually, showing you ideas, where to take your paintings next, it's just the fastest way forward I think.
It's great to be in person on a beach together, but second best is to get this help and feedback in such an online group setting. Of course, 'Mastering Summer Seascapes' is also a maxi-course, 3 modules and Lots of video teaching. The combination is Great.
