Red & White Striped Parasols

6 Week Cycles.

Some time ago I wrote in the newsletter that it's so apparent that anything in nature/life appears only for a season, and how change is inevitable, and that most 'subjects' 'topics' some 6 weeks last. I recently heard about the natives that they divided the year in seasons of 6 weeks.

To get to the point: when it IS 'parasol weather' I know I can't mess about, I can't postpone, because I know, it comes, goes in a heartbeat. And we'll need to reap quickly. And yes, this hot week ended two days after this painting. Happy I got it in paint. Often I do miss out. Like the peonies this year. 6 Weeks here and I missed making time for them. TIP: "See something, Paint something!" : )

I show this pic so you know the parasols don't 'pose for me', and you'll need some searching within often chaotic views to 'find a cut-out' composition that works. Less is often more, you do not need to paint everything in your view.

It's good to stand near 'your subject' so you can see more. But, if you don't want to 'disturb' the one watched: stand at a larger distance... they'll stay longer : )
