Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
I had set the goal of painting the sunrise again, this was back in March. And this meant putting the alarm to a time way too early, 5 AM-ish.
In Autumn~December, when the sun rises late it's easier getting up in time to catch the sunrise.
Anyways, it was way too early, uncomfortable because if it’s again your ‘first try’ you’ll feel rusty, afraid you’ll not be able to paint it.
It was cold, and there were mornings I felt it was too cold, too uncomfortable, and I skipped painting it. Regret kicks in and the day after you’ll try again : ) Here's that first sunrise.

It might be uncomfortable, too early, very VERY cold, but yes, as birthing a baby, a mother forgets the pain of delivery : )
The joy of the pursuit & the result makes it all worth it. The only failure could be: WANTING to paint it but letting fear or comfort turn you away from it, yes!
And, not all 'tries' will result in a successful 'output', but you'll HAVE TO try it.
Here a few snapshots during. Starting in darkness and anticipating that first light, it's special.
I have a vlog episode about painting the sunrise here
