Pink Moon Rising

A Pink Big Moon.

The day before it was the super, super, supermoon, but this moon was as glorious.

This time I wanted to see it RISE from the horizon, but that was timed at 11:30 PM or even later. So, a night time trip, and YES! we saw a pink big moon rising.

I think I missed seeing it at the exact horizon. That’s still something for the future. But it was great.
Because I was at a different location, that spot was complete dark (no street lights at all), it was harder to do. Also, the bugs kept bugging me. Mosquitos were biting and insects were drawn to my led light, in my face, in my hair, buzzing.

The led is a head band. But I took it off a lot. Too much harsh light also prevents you from painting. So, a balancing act, light on, light off, light on the tubes, light on the painting. Plus hurrying to get it painted. It rose FAST. Below is the date for the LAST supermoon for 2022!

So different, day per day. This time we saw it pink & big. Then quickly finding a good spot, it was already less pink.
This spot has water in. Though way wider than my canvas allowed, but it had to go in, just to make the compo better. 
Rising as fast as a sun:

When I finished, 1:45 AM perhaps later, I just threw everything in the car. I cleaned the brushes/palette in the morning. I also do not look at what I have created right away. That's for the morning☕️

Efforts pay off. Set these goals yourself, just check the timing, and pick a great (super) moon to paint. For example in August: 
"August’s full Sturgeon Moon reaches its peak on Thursday, August 11, 2022. It will be the last supermoon of the year!"
