Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
You often want to incorporate the pink elements in the sky, but it’s I think the most fleeting thing.
Pink turns to orange fast, then to a dark yellow, and voila, it’s full daytime.
I don’t paint from photos anymore, because the actual reason to paint is to paint the beauty you can witness in the fleeting moments, or, in all moments. The thrill. The wonder. The surprise. The haste. The emotions. The fight (sometimes) and the barriers, the puzzle of paint.
The illusive natural world with its magic built in. A photo is not so much compared to that! Don’t paint to paint. Don’t settle becoming a ‘human copier machine’ when working from photos. Because there’s a world outside wanting to surprise you!
