Painting Flowers.
Even with the same set-up, same flowers, same vase, same background, you can experiment endlessly. It's a very rewarding, fulfilling subject matter. I have more Floral still lifes, of course, but will save these for Autumn. Next on the Blog: Seascapes again!

Gouache is great to get all kinds of 'structure' in your painting by applying the paint differently. It can be thick, watery, opaque, transparent. Especially in and around the vase area you can see this in this painting.
Here the sigarbox-easel set-up. The 'glass' is a cut off plasic bottle.
So you see you don't need a lot to create a beautiful painting.
