The best skies you'll find unexpectedly.

Here a sky filled with rain entering, therefore giving the whole a bright yellow orange glow.

Behind me, the opposite sky showed already the rainbow. This happens all very quick. Often I can get it all finished before the rain will hit heavy.

But of course, you'll have to travel through darkness, being here in time for the spectacle!

I'm saying it a lot and I'll say it again: you can only go deep into your subject and catch these lucky breaks when you go out there regularly, have yourself a fixed place, (time), and enjoy the ride!

Often you might be disappointed by boring circumstances, and sometimes happily surprised as a bonus for trying so long. :) Keep at it! Hard work gets rewarded.

Some readers might say "Hard work??" Yes, it is hard work. In the early morning, in haste, in cold, in keeping at it, while you're not sure to succeed with the painting or to sell any of these.

After painting intensely we as painters often are drained. It's a concentration to the max. Cleaning up the stains after, I can go on. There's no need to romanticize. :)
Yet, loving all of it!
