Painting the Sun and Ocean Reflection

This is Seascape 'Sun Strokes, Clouds and Ocean'.

Painting the Sun just slightly after sunrise will deliver a totally different palette of colors.

Logical, I know :) though it's important to realize painting in the morning or evening will deliver paintings with more yellows in for example. ↪ So if you like lots of warm colors/yellows: change the time you paint!

Fun how my early seascapes were perceived so 'grey': True, in the past I often did not choose the morning or evening to go and paint, but what was also going on: I had an old PC, and the monitor not calibrated right. Ever since I upgraded the gear (and again became a Mac user) my imagery improved as well.

As a third (and most important) differentiator: ↪ you'll also get more 'color-sensitive' over time. You'll see different colors in nature when painting, you'll mix different colors, you'll edit your pics differently. It's huge.
