Painting The Sunset
Paint what you love (- or don't paint it.)
Sometimes you are Really lucky, and here I was, because of 'all colors'. When you study sunsets you'll know that it will be different every day. The value relations are different, colors are different, sky and clouds give a different view and vibe every day.
I think you're most lucky when there are clouds and when it sets with all kinds of light effects. The real trofee is the red sun, but that's often rare.
Painting is about the interaction of external and internal. That's why you can paint everything well IF you love it. If you love what you see than this will transmit. And the humble state (of being in this) is needed too.
When doubt, ego, anger get in (if students freak out) than the painting will suffer. Think about this.
