Nocturne Snow Landscape

Evening View & Windmill Lights - Nocturne Snow.

This nocturne in snow was created on that first day of snow. I started a bit too late. It gave difficulties :) because  A) Got dark quick - Scene changed and B) Couldn't see color as good, so I finished it the next day.

As you can see here below, the lantern did give a bit of light, but those who have painted nocturnes before, probably know, no matter which lights, headsets, LEDs or other, seeing the colors for what they really are is just harder.  Solutions: Premix your colors + Start (really) Early. (Before the sun has set.)

I started in the blue hour, and that's often more beautiful than the brown/back colors you'll see quite soon after & into the night.

A funny thing to also mention, when it gets really dark you tend to lose stuff, in the snow, but also, the specific tubes aren't as quickly found, making things chaotic.

But I must say, the energy I felt again, 'just doing it' is a great feeling. 'Suffering' perhaps, but it will make you feel alive, totally zoned into that moment.
