Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
I’ve always have had a love for the Dutch scenery, always looking at the horizon, in awe by the beauty of the landscape.
It was a few years ago that I decided to try to paint at/during sunrise.
That delivered a whole new ‘bulk of tries’, which I often talk about, and in it plenty of paintings I was so happy with. (Of course alongside of this also plenty of failures, part of the game.)
Every sunrise is different, it's always a surprise, what to paint and how it will turn out.
This is a painting I forgot to blog about at the time. Here I was already too late for a real rising sun, but sometimes you might even get something better. It’s freezing, ice on the water, frost in the landscape.
→See how these natural colors work well together with the brighter and saturated yellows and oranges.

I think if you're living in the city, it's a lot harder to be a landscape painter. Why not move away? This spot here is just 10 min. away from where we live. And I rather live nearer even so :) Waking up looking at a landscape must be the best.
