Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
Aw! This was a cherry on top.
Nature is of course so grand that it will exceed anything (anything we paint or can photograph). And after I had finished the previous painting the sky became a half circle pink, a blue cloud with a light pink line over its red orange sun and the view was even more amazing than I could have anticipated.
Now, I am not the one who will say, "it's 9 PM I'll quit now and be home in time". When I see this I want to at least try to get it on the canvas. As no (NO) picture could have shown the same (and only paint can) I had to try.
The result might be less glorious than nature showed, it still is a great memory in paint. One of the major reasons to be an 'outdoor nature' painter.

When this pic was taken that pink circle sky had of course already passed.
We left this time in the dark. And when you cannot see the colors on the palette, your painting is done.
You'll learn to 'catch' what you see and do it FASTT by doing it (painting outdoors) often.
Beginners need to start in the daytime I think, you'll have MORE time then.
And when you're up for it, paint the quick moving events like the sunrise and sunset.
Most rewarding!!!
