Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
So I struggled with this one, though it turned out my favourite.
Hours and hours into it. Multiple cows painted, taken out, in search for a good composition.
The light started out being warm golden morning light (it’s always a good idea to include timing in your painting plans) and if you’re going over the 3 or 4 hour painting mark, the light definitely has changed. All warmth will be gone around midday (often).
But yes.
So you see, struggling can be a good thing. Isn’t painting also a game? One that you can win or lose.
I think it is. It’s a great game or ‘sports’. It’s exciting therefore. You A) never know what you’re going to end up with outdoors and B) you won’t know if it’s becoming a success or failure: all in the game.
Sure, a lot of losing ‘just sucks’. But yes, a shift will happen for the ones diving in, or for the ones who have practiced. Nothing comes easily. Put in the time + put in your faith. You can DO THIS. And ‘Just by Trying You Will Succeed’. True!
