Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
Fascinating and hard to paint that afternoon harsh backlight.
But a pleasure when it works out!
Also I like the sketch aspect of it. Some painters think a study is a sketch, a sketch a study. I disagree. It's hard to leave certain parts 'abstract'. I think you'll go through phases where you -can- and in some phases you -can't-: wanting 'everything perfect'. Glad I could stay away from it in this one.
A painting is a painting. Sketch, study, I'll never call my paintings this. When it's done, stored, dried, kept, it's born. Sure, many get tossed. It's good to keep them for a couple of years when you yourself dislike them. After a few years you can separate the 'studies' from the paintings. Unfinished paintings I often toss.
