Happy New Year - Fireworks

Happy New Year to You!

This painting was created during a fireworks show last December (2016), where they show & sell their fireworks. If they had known I was there working with oils & white spirit :) they'd probably had asked me to leave :) I was at a safe distance but this year I only brought oils and no medium. Better!

If there are short moments: it's fireworks bursting, though still, 'being there' with brush in hand, I find it easier to convey it into paint right then and there. Will try again tonight! YA!

Sure, it's far from easy, and often you'll touch up things, here, there, once ondoors. But don't 'perfect' it too much, often that's the very risk when working indoors or from a photo.
