Paint the Sun!

Overcoming That First Hurdle

Your biggest hurdle (in painting the sun from life, standing there outdoors) is always FEAR itself. The beauty of the sun is so big, and time so swift, it's daunting!
And because -sunset- is obviously happening at the end of the day: you’ll have less energy compared to the beginning of the day. And often you’ll then say “I’m not painting it, maybe tomorrow.”
But the next day you might see nothing. Or there are no clouds. Maybe it rains, all overcast.

Bravery & No Expectations

The biggest gift you can give yourself is BRAVERY. “Just do it”. And expect NOTHING. Try to respect the sun, and try to set the bar low to minimise stress and to up the fun of painting.
Just say to yourself: “I’m going to create a sketch in paint from this beautiful moment”.

-> Do this more often & find real progress fast. Just get over that first (biggest) hurdle FIRST.
