Cows & Rain Approaches
Light and Dark.
It's a beautiful painting. I might need to photograph it again indoors. Normally I like to take a photo right after creating it, but here the rain was coming again, so I took a few quick photos and these have a bit of glare in.
Light can sing so much under a grey sky. And you cannot 'make it up'. You have to see it. It must be there to paint it so.
If you paint three cows 'rather near' it does have to 'computate' (compile) to a harmonious total. Not easy. I think it was successful. If you're beginning in this field, I recommend you paint the cows smaller: mid-field. That's easier and also easier to simplify I think.
