From Christmas.

Two paintings from Christmas.

I went out early, it was still dark and I wanted to paint the (full) moon.

It was dark and overcast, no moon in sight. It was eery silent. Not a soul awake.

It’s always a relief when the first light appears. A romantic view, the windmill and its little light from the window, no snow this Christmas but it was a beautiful morning.

Here the moon the next day! I think I drove to the wrong side, there was no time to drive to a better view, a better horizon, so I had to make do. It was amazingly beautiful. Setting fast.
