Bright Scene and Horse

Carefully Measured Chaos - A Rhythm of Strokes

A favorite.

Some think I paint ‘wham, bam’ and the painting appears.

But no, it takes a lot of fussing, adding, removing, stepping back.

(Because) I want to add a lot on this mid-size canvas. The sky, the shallow waters, and in it the reflection of the clouds. The darkness of the horse adds to the lightness of its surroundings. This painting is alive.

I think it good for you to know it's not 'Wham bam', it's needed to paint longer than a few hours. And it's normal that it's a 'fight': meaning, never easy. Maybe sometimes. Often not! So accept the challenge and do not give up too soon.

Those frikn selfies. Terrible. But I know it can be good to see a face sometimes : )
It's always better: when others make the photo. I cannot pretend.

Blues, blues, blues!
