Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
With the intention to paint the sunrise I got up early. Looking at the ocean I saw a bright light shining through the clouds.
Thinking “What is that?” I kept looking, clouds moved, and there she was, the moon!
So happy I could see it above the ocean. Because you just never know. The movement of it (place) and timing, rising, setting, it keeps to be a lucky chance being there to paint it, let alone seeing it above the ocean!
I painted this and was quite happy with it.
It keeps to be more difficult to get good photos of the paintings, because when values are becoming nearer and nearer to each other, cameras cannot distinguish. Phones for example just increase contrasts.
From browns greys purples it makes ‘blacks’, simply said, it’s just not good enough. You can get a better camera, and lower the contrast levels. That way you’ll get better photos.
But it doesn’t matter what camera or phone you use, you’ll always need to level the photo to make it closer to the actual painting. In my book-creation course we'll also go over this.
