A Good Day

Just Go!

From downs to ups

The best painting sessions you’ll have when you pass by something SO BEAUTIFUL you just can’t wait painting it.

When that haste is there from the very beginning of painting the scene or moment.

The yum and joy of placing the parts. The wonder that stays during the full session, and the circumstances staying somewhat the same for a longer time.
Those are great sessions.

It isn't always like that. But one thing is for sure, getting out more often increases those moments as well.
You'll have to just 'be there' to find the magic, yes.

Indoors, sitting behind your computer contemplating going, looking outside your window: it won't help. JUST GO. And then FIND IT.

Wear the boots, stand in grass. With the small canal making a dyke, it's best to stand as low to the waterline as possible to get just a better perspective sometimes.
